I didn\u2019t learn this year by reading books.
I learned it by sitting at uncomfortable tables, walking through markets, making mistakes at events, listening more than I spoke, and working side by side with Latino businesses in Philadelphia.<\/strong><\/p>\n

2025 wasn\u2019t perfect.
But it was real.
And that\u2019s why it was so powerful.<\/p>\n

Today I want to share the three most important lessons this year left me after supporting Latino businesses<\/strong>\u2014from the inside, from the field, from real experience.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Lesson 1: Growth is not improvisation\u2014it\u2019s training and surrounding yourself well” google_fonts=”font_family:Montserrat%3Aregular%2C700|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][vc_column_text]\n

For years, many Latino entrepreneurs have grown purely through grit.
And that is admirable\u2026 but not always sustainable.<\/p>\n

This year I confirmed something very clear:
the businesses that grow are the ones that choose to learn, professionalize, and surround themselves better.<\/strong><\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]We participated in trainings with the Department of Commerce<\/strong>, in spaces where strategy, structure, and growth are discussed.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″]\n

Ask yourself:<\/p>\n

  • Are you training yourself, or just reacting?<\/li>\n
  • Are you surrounding yourself with people who push you forward or hold you back?<\/li>\n

    There were also setbacks.
    Our first event to present our services didn\u2019t have the success we expected.<\/strong>
    And it was tough.
    But it was necessary.<\/p>\n

    Because I learned that failing in public also teaches\u2026 and strengthens you.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″]\n

    • Do you celebrate other entrepreneurs, or see them as competition?<\/li>\n

      If this year confirmed anything, it\u2019s this:
      details matter. A lot.<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Through one-on-one work with business owners, I discovered that listening, adapting, and personalizing truly transform businesses.
      That\u2019s why I love 1:1 work.
      That\u2019s where the important things happen.<\/p>\n

      Companies and professionals in Philadelphia began trusting us to train their teams.
      And something especially meaningful: organizations started to understand the importance of offering training in Spanish.<\/strong><\/p>\n

      That\u2019s not just a professional achievement.
      It\u2019s a huge step forward for our community.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″]\n

      We went to Latino markets, such as the Christmas Village<\/strong>, to speak directly with entrepreneurs. We brought training straight to the markets where the Latino community showcases its businesses, offering real-time sales advice right where sales actually happen.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″]\n

      • Are you close to the reality of your business, or only looking at numbers?<\/li>\n

        This year I learned:<\/p>\n

        • You have to allow yourself to fail.<\/li>\n
        • Give yourself room to learn and stay up to date.<\/li>\n
        • Trust the right people.<\/li>\n
        • Selling is not about pressure.<\/li>\n
        • Growing is not about rushing.<\/li>\n
        • Rest, friends, and family are also part of the journey.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          But above all, I want to say this: supporting Latino businesses is, first and foremost, a privilege and a responsibility.<\/p>\n
